Your Questions, Answered

  • Film offers a timeless, romantic quality that reflects not just how your day looked, but how it felt. Its softness, depth, and authenticity create images that feel enduring rather than fleeting.

  • Yes—we work with both mediums side by side. Film provides the emotional, nostalgic foundation, while digital ensures versatility, reliability, and complete coverage of every important moment.

  • Film is a slower, more intentional process, so you can expect fewer images than a fully digital gallery. However, each frame is carefully considered, resulting in a collection that feels meaningful, refined, and lasting.

  • Because film must be developed and carefully processed, our delivery timeline is slightly longer than digital photography. We typically deliver final galleries within 4–8 weeks after your wedding.

  • Film involves tangible materials, development, scanning, and a more deliberate shooting process. This added craftsmanship and care contribute to a higher cost, but also to a more distinctive and enduring final product.

  • We exclusively use fresh, professional-grade film stock to ensure consistency, color integrity, and longevity in every image we create.

We most typically shoot on Ektar 100 and Portra for color stills and T-Max for black and white stills. For motion picture, we shoot on Kodak Vision+ 50, 250 and 500.

  • Your negatives are carefully archived in our climate-controlled studio for long-term preservation. Digital files are securely backed up in multiple locations, both on-site and off-site, for added peace of mind.

  • For smaller weddings (up to 100 guests), we work with a minimum of three team members. For larger celebrations (100+ guests), we bring at least four, ensuring comprehensive and attentive coverage throughout the day.

  • All final images are delivered digitally in a curated gallery. We also offer heirloom-quality keepsakes, including fine art albums, wall pieces, and custom View-Master reels.

  • Yes—we believe your images are meant to be experienced beyond a screen. We offer a range of beautifully crafted keepsakes designed to turn your photographs into lasting heirlooms.

  • 8mm is more economical and lightweight, producing a softer, grainier image that often feels intimate and nostalgic, making it well-suited for candid or documentary-style moments. In contrast, 16mm offers higher resolution, greater detail, and improved dynamic range, resulting in a more refined and cinematic look, but at a higher cost for both film stock and processing. Shooting on 16mm also typically requires more advanced equipment and handling, making it a slightly more complex format to work with.
